Frequently Asked Questions
What does Aphlora mean?
The name Aphlora was coined from the scientific name for the flowering vine: Passiflora incarnata. It’s from this botanical that we gather our beautifully fragrant flowers that create each bottle of Aphlora.
Is Aphlora all Natural?
Yes! Aphlora Passionflower Liqueur is made without any artificial colors or flavors.
How is Passionflower different from Passion Fruit?
Passionflower and Passion Fruit might sound like twins, but they’re more like distant cousins. Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is an intricate vine, known for its striking and fragrant flowers. Passion fruit (Passiflora edulis), on the other hand, is the tropical, tangy fruit that you might already be familiar with. While they share a name and botanical lineage, Passionflower is valued for its floral and botanical qualities, while Passion Fruit is primarily consumed for its fruit.
What is Upcycled Citrus Spirit?
Citrus Neutral Spirit is a distilled byproduct made from leftover citrus peels and pulp; once considered waste in the Florida juice industry. Rather than discarding the citrus husks after juicing the fruit, they are pureed, heated and concentrated into fermentable citrus molasses. After distillation, the leftover solids are then dehydrated and converted into animal feed, giving the plant material a complete lifecycle.
How do I drink Aphlora?
Aphlora is delicious simply served on the rocks or stretched with seltzer, but is also extremely versatile when used in a variety of cocktails. One of our favorites is in a classic Aphlora Spritz.

Is Aphlora Shelf Stable?
Yes. As Aphlora vintages, you may notice its color lighten from deep ruby to a beautiful amber rose.
